Some of our service providers store or process information in the United States or other countries. Personal information held outside Canada, or outside Quebec, is subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is held and may be accessible to the courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities there. Before transferring personal information outside Quebec or Canada, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, including by contract, in accordance with applicable law.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet our legal obligations. Transaction, tax and product-traceability records are generally kept for at least seven years. When information is no longer needed, we securely destroy or anonymize it.
We protect personal information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, including access controls, encryption in transit, and contractual obligations on service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a privacy incident creates a real risk of significant harm or serious injury, we will notify the affected individuals and the relevant privacy regulators as the law requires, and keep a record of the incident.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected, or withdraw your consent. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request deletion, to receive your information in a structured, commonly used format, to object to or restrict certain processing, to opt out of targeted advertising or profiling, and to be informed of automated decision-making. Residents of Quebec have the rights set out in Quebec’s private-sector privacy law. Residents of certain US states, including California, have the rights set out in their state privacy laws, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising those rights.

We will respond within 30 days, or within the time the applicable law requires, and will explain any refusal and how you may challenge it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, the privacy commissioner of your province, or the privacy regulator or attorney general of your state.
Our websites and products are intended for businesses and licensed professionals, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we will delete any such information we learn we have collected.
